Photo Diary of Lisbon

Today I am going for a short stroll down memory lane as I post photos of my short visit to Lisbon. It was more than a decade ago that I got to walk the streets of this city which is set over sprawling hills and close to beautiful sandy beaches.

I remember walking down the cobbled streets of Lisbon, Western Europe’s oldest city, and the largest city in Portugal. I remember that riding the tram was a highlight and that we nearly got blown away while trying to take a photo at Cabo da Roca. Cabo da Roca is a wild and rugged headland that marks the most westerly point of mainland Europe. My visit was short but sweet and I wouldn’t mind visiting again some day.

Glimpse of Coimbra, Portugal

During our Portugal trip we spent a night in Coimbra, a riverfront city. It is home to a preserved medieval old town and the historic University of Coimbra which was built on the grounds of a former palace.
