At one of the local summer markets in Pudong, Shanghai I came across a Chinese Calligraphy artist painting the most intricate and beautiful names for people.

Chinese caligraphy is the writing of Chinese characters as an art form, combining purely sisual art and interpretation of the literary meaning. I had him paint my name as unfortunately I did not have my name written in Chinese characters with me. He did an amazing job, only using 8 colours and creating amazingly detailed pictures. This is definitely one of the most beautiful things I get to take with me to remember my amazing China adventures with.

“Calligraphy is sheer life experienced through energy in motion that is registered as traces on silk or paper, with time and rhythm in shifting space its main ingredients” – Stanley-Baker

That is beautiful!
