Lazy Sunday walk in Cape Town

Lazy Sunday walk in Cape Town

Whenever I go for a walk through the streets of cape Town on a Sunday morning I hardly see any people. The city feels deserted and alien compared to the busy, bustling city it becomes during the week.

The city of Cape Town seems to be ‘closed’ on a Sunday morning.

  1. Again back in the 1960’s and early 1970’s, the whole of Cape Town shut down from 1pm on a Saturday. The only shops open were corner cafe’s, restaurants and hotels. I’ve been trying to look up when Sunday trading started and it might have been even later than that.
